Detail as performance.
My hyper-realistic approach is carefully planned around the event's subject, timeline, and purpose. A foundation is prepared in advance, then detail is developed across the work during the event. The audience watches the image sharpen and the animal's presence gradually take hold.
The audience leaves a mark.
The abstract approach is more open and expressive. Color, movement, and guided participation allow guests to contribute intentional marks. I shape those gestures into a unified finished work so the painting becomes a record of the people who gathered around it.
One approach invites the audience to witness transformation. The other invites them to become part of it.
Both formats are tailored to the room and both can support a larger mission through auction, fundraising, education, or shared experience. The best choice is the one that makes the purpose of the evening feel tangible.
